🚐 Well, look who has the keys to our social media.

Meet Vanity Vanpool, Team RideFinders’ resident vanpool hero and your guide for the month of October.

All month long, Vanity Vanpool is taking over to show you what vanpooling can really do. We’re talking less solo driving, shared commute costs, fewer miles on your personal vehicle and a ride to work that doesn’t always require you to be the one behind the wheel.

Never considered a vanpool? Perfect. Vanity Vanpool likes a challenge. Follow along for #VanityVanpoolsTakeover and see whether there’s a seat or a new vanpool with your name on it.

Ready to explore your vanpooling options? Visit ridefinders.com or call 804-643-RIDE (7433).

Already vanpooling? Record your trips through the ConnectingVA platform. Simply visit our website and click the link at the top of the page. #Vanpooling #PublicTransportationThursday #Vanpool

90+ conversations. A lot of solo commutes. Plenty of opportunity!

Team RideFinders was at the VDOT Benefits Fair, where John talked with more than 90 employees about carpooling, vanpooling and making the trip to work a little easier.

One thing stood out: most of the employees he met are currently driving alone, while just four said they carpool. That means there’s plenty of opportunity to introduce commuters to another way to get to work and sometimes all it takes is starting the conversation.

💼 Want RideFinders at your workplace? Talk with your HR team or worksite benefits coordinator and invite us to your next benefits fair, employee event or wellness day. We’ll bring the commute solutions!

🌱💡 Bright futures. Greener communities. Team RideFinders had a great time exhibiting at Thinking Big 2026, where more than 400 students connected with organizations making a real impact in our communities.

Hosted by GiSTEM, Inc., Thinking Big gives young people an opportunity to explore STEM careers, meet professionals and see how the skills they’re developing today can open doors tomorrow. We were excited to bring sustainability and transportation into that conversation.

🚐 Because transportation is about a lot more than getting from Point A to Point B, we unveiled two new student-friendly infographics created especially for high school students:

🚦 Careers in Transportation introduces students to the many careers that keep people moving. From planning and operations, marketing, skilled trades to information technology, data and other STEM disciplines all play a role in creating more sustainable transportation systems.

🌱 Who Is RideFinders? introduces students to RideFinders and Transportation Demand Management (TDM): the work behind helping people discover practical sustainable solutions to driving alone, such as carpooling, vanpooling, transit, biking, walking and telework.

Our goal was simple: get students thinking. Their everyday transportation choices can help reduce environmental impact, support healthier communities and improve quality of life. And one day, their career choices could help shape how all of us move.

We’ll continue using these new infographics as youth outreach resources, and theyre included on our Sustainability Resources for Kids and Youth.

We had a great time talking with students, sharing ideas and reminding the next generation that sustainability needs thinkers, problem-solvers, innovators and maybe a few future transportation professionals, too. Girls impacting Science Technology Engineering Mathematics, Inc.

🚐 Do something nice. Share the ride.

It’s #DoSomethingNiceDay, and sometimes the nicest gestures are the simple ones.

🚗 Buy your carpool partner a coffee to start the work day. Invite a co-worker to carpool. Thank your vanpool or bus driver. Help a friend discover a commute that costs a little less and comes with a little less stress.

😊 Kindness doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, it looks like taking transit to take cars off the road to be kind to the planet. When we share the trip, that small act can go even further with less fuel used and a greener commute for everyone.

💚 So go ahead. Do something nice today. You might just make someone’s commute a little brighter.
