🎓💚 Team RideFinders has been making the campus rounds! We had a great time connecting with students and staff at the Reynolds Community College Resource Fairs at both the Downtown and Parham Road campuses.
Between classes, work and everything else packed into the day, getting where you need to go matters. We were there to help make that part a little easier by sharing information about carpooling, transit and other transportation options that can help connect people to campus, work and beyond.
🙌 And we weren’t the only ones getting into it. Sarge the Red Hawk stopped by to join Team RideFinders in the action! Sarge and Brigitte are now lifelong friends!
🚗🚐🚌🚲 That’s TDM at work. It’s meeting people where they are, helping them understand the transportation choices available to them and making it easier to find an option that fits their day. Because sometimes a greener commute starts with simply knowing you have options.

💚 Team RideFinders popped up at a Henrico Park & Ride lot to show a little appreciation to vanpoolers who are sharing the ride and making a difference with every commute.
During #TDMWeek, we’re celebrating the people who make greener transportation choices part of their routine. To our vanpoolers: thanks for sharing the ride!
And here’s something you may not know: vanpooling is a form of public transportation.
🙌 It’s also a great example of TDM in action. One van can take several drive-alone trips off the road, helping reduce traffic, vehicle miles traveled and emissions while giving commuters a more affordable way to tackle longer trips to work. That’s a lot happening in one van!

🎓🚗 Yesterday, Team RideFinders headed to Bryant & Stratton College’s New Student Orientation in Chesterfield County!
And we made a few commute connections while we were there.
Two students from Hopewell signed up for carpooling, so we did some on-the-spot ride matching. The fun part? They already knew each other! 😄 We also connected with another student from Petersburg who was interested in carpooling.
As these students prepare for college and the workforce ahead, transportation is part of the journey. Helping them discover greener ways to get around now can mean saving money, sharing the ride and building better commute habits for what comes next.
