Brain Awareness Week: March 15 - 21, 2021
Mar 15, 2021
Brain Awareness Week, March 15-21, 2021, is a global campaign to foster public enthusiasm and support for brain science. Every March, various organizations host imaginative activities in their communities that share the wonders of the brain and the impact brain science has on our everyday lives. Brain Awareness Week was founded by the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives (DABI) and the European Dana Alliance for the Brain (EDAB), and is coordinated by the Dana Foundation.
In honor of Brain Awareness Week, RideFinders encourages you to get out for a walk or ride your bike. Walking and riding your bike are great for mental health and well-being. They both release 'feel-good' hormones known as endorphins which help to relax your mind and make you feel happier. Walking and biking also increase your heart rate and helps the blood flow. Not only are walking and biking good for your mental and physical health, they are good for the environment. They are both 0 emissions and improves air quality for everyone.
