It Pays To Take Transit During Try Transit Week (September 16 - 20)

Be a FAN of Try Transit Week, a week-long educational event designed to encourage Virginians to try a form of public transportation such bus, rail or vanpool and is sponsored by the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT). Join DRPT, the City of Richmond and RideFinders as we partner to encourage YOU to Try Transit! Try Transit is a win-win for public transit riders.  Not only can you save money while helping the environment, but you can also get rewarded for your efforts! Commuters have two exciting opportunities during the statewide Try Transit Week that runs from Monday, September 16 through Friday, September 20! 

Commuters can pledge to try transit during Try Transit Week by visiting www.trytransitweek.org. Participants are automatically entered for a chance to win a year of free transit service from participating Virginia transit operators as well as a pair of tickets for Amtrak's Northeast Regional train and other fun prizes. Pledges will be accepted through September 20, 2019.

Once you pledge to try transit or you're already riding transit, click here to join the Try Transit Week Challenge.  Simply login or register and record your trips during the week. Registration is free and recording transit trips on your personalized trip calendar only takes a few minutes!  Participants recording trips will be entered to win fun prizes!
