RideFinders Receives 40th Anniversary Certificate of Recognition

RideFinders, a division of GRTC Transit, proudly received a 40th Anniversary Certificate of Recognition from the Governor of Virginia, The Honorable Ralph Northam. The certificate reads:

RideFinders 40th Anniversary

WHEREAS, RideFinders was created in November 1981 in response to the national energy crisis of the 1970s and became affiliated with the GRTC Transit System in 1998; and

WHEREAS, RideFinders is Central Virginia’s award-winning commuter assistance agency that works with community members to improve transportation efficiency and mobility in the region by assisting employees, businesses, municipalities, and other citizens with their commuting needs; and

WHEREAS, RideFinders supports environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and roadway maximization in the greater Richmond region; and

WHEREAS, RideFinders is proud to celebrate 40 years of dedicated service to the citizens, business community, employers, and employees of the Central Virginia region; and

WHEREAS, RideFinders provides beneficial transportation demand management solutions including carpool matching and vanpool services and promoting and supporting green strategies to enhance mobility, protect the air quality, improve the efficiency of the roadway infrastructure, and positively impact economic development;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ralph Northam, Governor of Virginia, do hereby recognize November 19, 2021 as RIDEFINDERS 40th ANNIVERSARY DAY  in the COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, and I call this observance to the attention of all our citizens.
