RideFinders Wins Best Online/Social Media Marketing Campaign Award

RideFinders was the recipient of the Chesapeake Chapter, Association for Commuter Transportation 2020 Best Online/Social Media Marketing Campaign for its ”Celebrate Earth Day, Every Day” Clean Air Campaign. This campaign maximized the focus on “green” commuting – teleworking, walking and biking- and “green” environmental actions such as recycling, waste management and garden maintenance as healthy and sustainable habits. The social media content showcased RideFinders staff as relatable by demonstrating that they indeed practiced what they preached.
This campaign yielded the following results:
- Developed the signature series, “VISITS with Von” and “We Read Wednesdays”. Videos created in-house at no costs.
- Promoted Caring Commutes, an initiative that simply asked registered database clients to record their telework days every day that they worked from home during the month of May. Once 500 telework “trips” were recorded, a $500 donation was made to Feed More on behalf of RideFinders.
- Developed partnerships with Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA), Clean Air Partners, Bellemeade Community Center and Drive Smart Virginia.
- Garnered 65,747 total impressions* across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram representing a 31% increase over goal; increased Facebook reach* by 77% and Instagram reach by 35%. *Impressions - the number of times your content is displayed. *Reach - the total number of people who see your content.
Cherika Ruffin, on behalf of RideFinders, accepted the award virtually on November 19, 2020 to the virtual attendees. Staff members Brigitte Carter and John O'Keeffe also attended the awards ceremony.
