Try Transit Week is coming September 19th - 23rd. The Commonwealth of Virginia's Eighth Annual Try Transit Week is a week-long, educational event designed to encourage Virginians to try a form of public transportation. Participants pledge to try a form of public transportation such as bus, rail, or vanpool, during the week by going to www.trytransitweek.org. When you pledge, you are automatically entered for a chance to win a year of free transit service from a participating Virginia transit operator, as well as a pair of round-trip tickets aboard Amtrak's Northeast Regional train (complete contest rules and regulations are on the website).  Pledges will be accepted now through September 23, 2016.
