Way to Go Wednesday - Let’s Walk! Event

Background:
The idea for these walks emerged from the Roundtable members thinking about how they could engage the community on the topics we’re addressing through the RVAgreen 2050 initiative such as climate change, health, and air quality. The Science Museum’s amazing RVAir program creates super accessible ways for residents to get involved with science, including collecting on the ground air quality data.These walks allow people to engage with the data and each other around these topics.

During the walk, participants will wear portable air quality sensors that collect data along the walk and that can be used later to compare different locations and neighborhoods across the city – not just in terms of the data but also the walk experience (light, noise, trees, buildings, etc.).
