Your Carpool Commute on I-95 is Changing in December
Nov 20, 2014
The 95 Express Lanes will open this December and the conversion of the HOV lanes to express lanes will impact all carpoolers. Here's what you need to do to prepare:
Get an E-ZPass Flex:
- Carpools with three or more people will need an E-ZPass Flex to travel toll-free on the 95 Express Lanes. Other drivers will need an E-ZPass and will pay a toll to access the Express Lanes
- Using an E-ZPass Flex is easy – it has a switch that allows you to change between HOV mode and toll-paying mode. When your carpool is ready, switch your Flex to HOV mode. You'll know your Flex is in HOV mode if you hear a beep
- You can pick up at E-ZPass Flex at local Virginia retailers including AAA Mid-Atlantic locations, select Giant, Wegmans and DMV locations, online, at E-ZPass Customer Service Centers or by calling E-ZPass at 877-762-7824
- Already have an E-ZPass? You can swap it for an E-ZPass Flex. Just follow the instructions at www.ezpassva.com/EZPages/Get-Flex.aspx
