RideFinders Wins Two Communitas Awards
Jul 08, 2022
YOUR Team RideFinders is the proud recipient of two (2) Communitas Awards this year! The first award is The Excellence in Community Service for the Youth Sustainability Outreach Campaign. This campaign emphasized family-friendly, educational, interactive activities focused on various transportation modes such as biking and walking, green sustainability activities such as recycling, co-joined with early literacy development through our We Read Wednesdays initiative that included free books from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Team RideFinders comic book, and a newly developed Sustainability Resources for Kids webpage.
The second award entitled Excellence in Corporate Social in the sub-categories of Ethical and Environmental Responsibility and Green Initiatives was for recognition of the RideFinders It’s a Green Thing Campaign. This campaign used creative grassroots marketing, organic social media and website content to increase awareness of the organization’s employer services, to encourage the use of green transportation options and environmental stewardship. RideFinders utilized storytelling that resonated and focused on easing commuting apprehension, and strategies that supported employers and employees return to work goals. Emphasis was also placed on education about air quality awareness and the impacts of individual and aggregate behavior on the Central Virginia region’s highway infrastructure, air quality, and quality of life.
Thank you for your continued support!
More about the Communitas Awards
The Communitas Awards was started in 2010 as an outgrowth of the pro bono recognition program of the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. These awards recognize exceptional businesses, organizations and individuals that are giving of themselves and their resources, and those that are changing how they do business to benefit their communities. Winners are recognized for specific programs involving volunteerism, philanthropy, and ethical and sustainable business practices, and evaluated based on the extent and effectiveness of their program.
